Pep Guardiola Not Looking To Copy Barcelona Style At Bayern Munich | CaughtOffside
Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola says he is not looking to bring his own style to the club after developing a highly successful footballing evrofutbol philosophy at his previous side Barcelona, Sky Sports reports.
The Spanish tactician became one of the most highly regarded managers in the game with his immense success in just four seasons with Barcelona, with the Catalan giants playing some superb attacking football as they swept home a highly impressive trophy haul.
However, Bayern have enjoyed tremendous success of their own with a treble win last season under previous manager Juup Heynckes, and Guardiola believes the Bundesliga giants are too big a club to copy others.
The 42-year-old believes he has to adapt to a different style and culture in Germany, and simply hopes to maintain the level of performances by Bayern as they dominated on the domestic and European scene last year.
Guardiola’s side are currently top of the Bundesliga table, and continue to look like the best team in Europe at the moment with some excellent signings made during the summer to improve an already-impressive squad at the Allianz Arena.
