Characteristics surprised at first: the heel is lower than the middle of the foot! We can no longer airsoft speak of 0 drop here, but almost negative drop. In fact the shoe is raised slightly at the plantar arch. It's not particularly pleasant when walking. But this makes the Go Run a rather unique shoe, especially an instrument of "work" quite interesting for those who want to change his stride. We can clearly see this "lack" of heel on the profile of the shoe:
Indeed, it is really difficult to attack you with the heel Go Run. Many other so-called airsoft "transitional" shoes allow it completely (see my Saucony Kinvara experience ... ouch my g'nou!), As here, we immediately reduced his stride to set foot where the sole absorbs a minimum: So on the front / middle. It is therefore surprising to adopt a faster pace, without being bothered by this particular sole.
-Shoe is very flexible, because of foot feel the ground, even if it is thicker in the middle of the foot is off the front foot, no problem to allow the toes to move a little it is a high true happiness: airsoft high flexibility, not very high (do not go back on the Achilles heel for those who do not like the pressure), the tongue does not ride up, it breathes very well. -Box contains two pairs of lace, and a small bag, it is rare enough to be reported, airsoft the shoe is lightweight (about 220gr model for a man), the price is very reasonable (about 80 , found 40 on sale!)
-As often with very soft shoes, the sole should not be a staggering sustainability. But hard to say after a few hundred km, the look of the shoe is quite correct, but it is far from the world's sexiest runnings (personal opinion of course), the "bump" in the middle of the foot is a only shoe to wear for running. It is best not to run barefoot in the materials permit airsoft (not really annoying seams), but the little plastic rim on the inside front of the foot is a source of bulbs (tested and approved by me, and by other riders obviously ...), the shoe size really big. I had to take a half size smaller than my usual size ...
But overall, this incursion of the American brand in the middle of running is very interesting. Especially for someone who wants to change his stride. airsoft Very few shoes that allow you to work as effectively airsoft on his gesture. This is a very interesting alternative to leaders of this type, and a grand entrance of the American brand. Not to mention their next model (the Bionic GB) which is just as much out, but that's another article!
If you want to get them, it is not yet obvious to find in stores running (the brand is not yet seen as a "serious" alternative to other specialists I guess), but it is still possible to order online, or go try the minimalist boutique Feel Good Village in Paris for example.
Update 18/03/2013: after 230km in gorun, first impressions are confirmed. These runnings are great fun to use in endurance. For the split a little fast, I prefer another model classic heel. But for any output or long cushy, flexibility, comfort, control stride wonders.
Update 13/11/2013: Run the Go has 370km on the clock now, and apart from a small problem on a sewing, shoe holds up well the miles. The very flexible sole will not allow to 1500km with, and stones are often stuck between the "studs". But otherwise the shoe is a real treat for endurance and threshold. Faster, the lack of heel raises concern me saw my stride.
